For those of you who are not familiar with the truck market. These vehicles consist of 8 weight categories, ranging from light through medium to heavy duty.


Sprinter Vehicle Types

The Sprinter is available in four variations

> Cargo Van & Extended Cargo Van
 Which is designed to handle a variety of utility needs that include delivery to a work truck. It's closed,  compact and versatile design and comfortable road manner make it an exceptional vehicle for a broad range of commercial needs.  Also, this is available in the extended version with an extra 14" of cargo space aft of axle.



> Passenger Van
 Capitalizes on Sprinters spacious interior, that provide seating for up to 12 passengers. Provides ample visibility and also has an incredibly stable road manner.
      
 

> Cab Chassis
  Which could be considered the blank canvas in the commerical truck market. This exposed frame Sprinter variation allows buyers to design and build a efficient commerical vehicle for their specific needs, Which could range from a more heavy-duty truck to a luxury motor home, while still providing buyers the confidence of knowing that at the core of their vehicle, it's still a Mercedes-Benz.
  
 

Sprinter US Variations

Within these four variations there are a total of 10 models, as illustrated in the chart below. You can see how this broad range of models varies in terms of wheel base, overall length, roof height and weight. This makes the Sprinter 2500 and 3500 very adaptable for specific applications. By offering this range of cargo and passenger vans, as well as cab chassis models, buyers are assured that they can have the perfect Sprinter for their needs.

Certified Up-Fitters and Warranty

As part of the Sprinter Customer Assurance Program, all certified Sprinter up-fitters will be required to meet the requirements of the Sprinter Engineering and Compliance Group. As a Certified up-fitter, these select builders will be provided with technical information and 3-D reference drawings to support proper and safe modifications of the Sprinter. They will be given access to restricted options and components and supplied with information regarding new features and special training.

As part of this intensive certification, all up-fitters will be required to offer the same warranty protection that Mercedes-Benz USA and Daimler Vans USA provide for the base vehicle to ensure quality and buyer satisfaction.
